Agility Recovery Quickly Assists HBE Becker Meyer Love with Server Issue

Here’s an example of how Agility recently assisted me and HBE. As IT Director, one of my responsibilities is to monitor server health and maintenance. In February 2012, I noticed that two of my operations servers had a blinking orange light on a single drive of each server. This usually means that hard drive failure is imminent. I contacted our Agility consultant to put him on alert, just in case I could not find the drives needed. I then called for replacement drives on both servers. I was informed by one vendor that due to the flooding in Asia, they would not be able to order the drive for me. I found the drive at another vendor’s website; however, after a week of waiting, the hard drive was still not delivered. I cancelled the order and contacted Agility Recovery for assistance in locating an alternative vendor. Agility’s operations team went into action and, along with an existing technology partner, was able to locate the required hard drive and provide me with a permanent replacement in less than 24 hours after my request. I was able to swap out the malfunctioning drives on both servers (without taking the servers down) and users never noticed the issue. As a result of Agility’s immediate response, we successfully averted down time, which is extremely critical at this time of year (tax season).
