At HBE Becker Meyer Love LLP, we take pride in our commitment to proactively implement new tools and resources in order to more effectively meet the needs of our clients and deliver the excellent service that they have come to expect. In support of this commitment, we recently upgraded to an enhanced online customer drop box and secure email.
One of the benefits of working with our firm is the ability to electronically exchange information (including QuickBooks files) securely and efficiently by logging into our online customer drop box from any location. Although our previous portal effectively met our customer portal needs, we determined that it would be in the best interest of our customers, as well as our firm, to upgrade to a more robust provider. On September 10, 2012, HBE implemented ShareFile (by Citrix) Drop Box and Secure E-mail. Most of our file exchanges will take place through secure e-mail, which will eliminate the need for you to remember yet another password. ShareFile uses a secure link to transfer your personal information using a 256-bit SSL encryption, which is the same type of security used by online banks and popular e-commerce sites. Currently, ShareFile is being used by 99% of all Fortune 500 companies, including Apple, Microsoft, and Google.
Examples of the type of information that our customers can access and transmit via ShareFile include financial statements, tax returns, audit information, personal financial documents, and more. An important benefit of using ShareFile to electronically exchange information with our firm is that it is much faster and safer than traditional mail, fax, and unsecure e-mail solutions. In addition, there are no file size restrictions with ShareFile so even very large files (like QuickBooks files) can be shared effectively.
