After 31 years of service to the firm, HBE’s Firm Administrator, Kimberly Bowers, is retiring on December 8, 2016. Over the course of Kim’s career with HBE, the firm has grown from a single office of 13 employees to multiple offices of over 70 employees. Throughout this time, Kim played an integral role in the many administrative and operational initiatives related to the firm’s growth and success.

“It has been a pleasure working with Kim through the years,” states Scott Becker, HBE’s Managing Partner. “She has been a key part of our management and strategic planning teams. As we have moved from being a small local firm to a mid-sized Nebraska firm, she has always had the best interests of our clients and staff in mind.  She is a true professional and will be missed.”

We greatly appreciate all that Kim has done for HBE, our clients, and our employees over the past 31 years. Following her retirement in December, Kim and her husband, Terry, will be moving to Arizona to be closer to family, including their two grandchildren. We wish her the very best in this next chapter of her life.

At this time, we’d also like to welcome Ruth Tewes to the HBE family. Serving as Firm Administrator, Ruth will provide leadership and oversight for HBE’s administrative team, facilities management, client service, and overall practice progression. Ruth comes to HBE with a deep background in administrative leadership and operational support, as well as specialized knowledge of the financial services industry. We are very grateful to have Ruth on our team and look forward to her contributions.
