Dear Clients, Colleagues, and Friends:
At HBE Becker Meyer Love LLP we take great pride in helping our clients work through long-term transitions and we strive to practice what we preach. That is why, over the past several years, we have been working closely with Ron Ecklund to establish a retirement timeline that not only meets his personal goals, but also provides him with the opportunity to seamlessly transition his client relationships to other members of the HBE team.
Now, nearly five years after we first started discussing Ron’s road to retirement, he has reached a phase in his career where he is effectively retiring from active client service beginning January 1, 2015. Although Ron will no longer be serving clients in a direct, face-to-face manner, he will remain an active part of the HBE team. His new role within the firm will be exclusively focused on consulting, reviewing tax work, and supporting the firm’s strategic plan.
Ron joined the firm in 1974 and served as partner from 1985 to 2010. Over the past 40 years, he specialized in providing accounting, tax, and consulting services to individuals, families, and business clients spanning multiple industries. He has also been an active member of several professional and community-based organizations, serving as chair and mentor on various boards and committees. Ron’s deep knowledge and experience, both with technical matters as well as client relationship matters, have been invaluable assets to our firm and will continue to be important components of our ongoing growth and success.
We are grateful to Ron for his many years of dedication and service to HBE and we look forward to working with him in his new role. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office at (402) 423-4343.
Sincerely,
Scott A. Becker, CPA, CFP, CVA, CGMA Managing Partner
